just a friendly heads up to let everyone know a problem i just had with the audiovox full size gm doorlock interface module. heres the scenerio... We did an install on a 2004 full size gmc 4 door pickup about 3 months ago with an audiovox aps-686 and the audiovox asgmdlto3 databus door lock interface. everything worked fine up until a week ago the truck wouldnt unlock after the truck sat for 10 minutes. so once the truck came in i assumed it was just a bad module and swapped it out, same problem... lock/unlock fine than after 10 minutes the truck wouldnt unlock. called audiovox tech and they told me to install diodes on the door lock outputs of the 686 since they have flip-flop +/- transistorized ouputs they tech said that it sometimes freaks out the databus module. so i tried that.... and same thing, wouldnt unlock after 10 minutes. called audiovox tech again, talked to a new guy and he said that sometimes (very rarely) you have to grab the door latch sense wire in the drivers door, but then his last minute suggestion was to hook up the green wire from the asgmdlto3, which is the drivers priority unlock only wire, and hook that up to the RED / black (which is the unlock all door wire) after i did that, it worked fine. the weird part is that ive done ALOT of GM platform trucks using this interface and ALWAYS using the RED / black wire coming off the interface and have NEVER had any problems....until this one! So hopefully the 45 minutes i wasted of my life wont happen to anyone else if this problem happens!

I use the Crimestopper GM-U7 with no problems- does it all through the databus- locks, arms even turns on heated seats and mirrors....
