Most likely passlock is not programmed correctly.  It could also be that the pink wire is not getting power.

OK guys heres the deal i can get the truck to start and then it shuts off .........I kow the response to this is going to be that i have a problem with the pass.  but how do i fix it ?   I have it set to 3.3 ohms which is what it should be on but i just dont know...

Currently i do not have the ignition 2 output hooked up to it because it seems to be working there and it is no different than when it is hooked up.

SO....how do i make the truck stay on.   It doesnt have a chip key in this truck so i dont guess that could be it.

HELP PLEASE

Describe how you bypassed the passlock and how you got the value of 3.3 ohms.  You will NEED to hook p the second ignition (white or pink/whit) wire.  If you do not the truck will not shift properly and the check engine light will come on and will store 5 codes.

first of all you need to hook up the white ignition or else it wont shift properly. and as for the passlock what wires do you have tapped and cut???also what module are you using to bypass

Did you hook up the tach wire? If so, then refer to the reply above mine. Hook your white Ingnition 2 wire up like securinu said too.

OK Sorry, I joined in this one a little late. It looks like you split up your installation problems into two different titles and I read this one first. It looks like you have the tach hooked up, but you need to solve the passlock II issue. If you want to know for sure what the problem is, I would buy a 10K ohm trimpot (potentometer) from radio shack , and set it to 3.3 k ohms and connect one end to the motor side of the yellow wire and the other side tap into the black wire. Then try and remote start. If it starts and stays running then your wiring of your passmod is wrong, because we just proved that 3.3k ohms is the correct resistence. If it doesn't stay running or even start at all, then your resistance is probably wrong, (and possibly your wiring too).

Well, the black wire is the wire that is in the three wire harness along with the yellow wire that you cut. It is the same wire that you should have used your digital multimeter on to find the 3.3k ohm resistence. First, Let me know what bypass module you are using and how you came up with the 3.3k ohm number.
