I purchased and installed a Factory Remote Start in my wifes truck.  It lost/forgot the tach/idle programming (just stopped working one day and started honking back 4 times when trying to start the car.)  The last time it did this I still had the book around and just reprogrammed it.  This time I can't find the book anywhere.

1.  Anybody know how to program the tach/idle setting on a Ford Silver Remote Start?

2.  Anybody know why it would be doing this?  Battery has never been dead or disconnected.

thanks

Is it the new powercode system (lightning bolt on back of remote) or the old silver system?
