Well, it finally happened to me... I just wanted to tell all the installers out there to clean and follow up any cut or bite from insects you might get in a car or anywhere actually.. I am typiung this from my laptop laying in a hospital bed.. I got bite by something, ant, spider, something they don't know what.. my arm is swollon twice it's size and I couldn't make a crimp to save my life right now..  haveing to type with one hand sucks too..

the reason is i didn't take care of something simple as an ant bite (IMO) and working in the car shop enviro. probably didn't help... now I am missing work because of hospital stay, arm is cut open for infection and on the strongest antibiotic avalible... I am like most installers/managers and don't have any sick leave from work... will just have to use my vacation time which sucks.. just glad I have 3 weeks vacation!

just wanted warn people to start cleaning those cuts, bite, sticks, and whatever else we can run into in the shop working on god only knows whos car...... I am going to start keeping anti-bacterial soap in the shop also.

Now don't get me wrong, this did not happen in the shop, but I do know how many cuts and sticks we get.. sometimes, not even realizing we did so... just clean them real well.. after some talking to other installer friends, two just got out of the hospital in the last month or so for same thing.. one a spider in a car and one was a cut... Know I have cellulitis and some kind of staff infection. OH BOY

Hey George, hope you get well soon. BTW, better to have a staff infection than an infected staff .get those cuts cleaned -- posted image.

Hey George.... you should try self induced morphine shots ( regulated dosage and time delayed of course ) through I.V. That's the cool stuff. Makes you talk like crazy and when it wears off from the surgury, it feels like that truck that ran you over just put itself in reverse and has run you over again get those cuts cleaned -- posted image.!! Take if from me..... don't try double back flips over a 60 foot gap jump on a snowboard in North Dakota..... it's too flat up here to do that sh*t .
