you'll really want to use the digital interface, this will make sure nothing is triggered as far as the stock alarm.  That and the door locks and everything are extremely computerized in vehicles that new.  As far as the ign/acc wires go, you can apply 12 volts to each of them to see what comes on.  You will definitly need all of the ignition wires.  One acc wire may be for the radio and the other for climate control.  Just play with both of them and see what each of them activates.  You may need to activate both of them for the computers sake.  Some of the cars monitor things like that to make sure everything is in proper running condition.  So try things out but remember when applying 12volts to any wire make sure you use a wire with a fuse on it so if anything shorts ar causes a problem you protect the circuitry with the fuse.

You only need to power the pink and white ignition wires and the orange acc.

Door locks are databus only and Passlock II you can use databus as well. Aside from this the vehicle is very basic, much the same as the older Chevy's.

I use the crimestoppers GM-U7 on all of these trucks.. If there is heated seat and mirrors it will turn them on when below a certain temp.. also does oem alarm disarm,doorlocks,passlock.. It is the most user freindly unit out there.. no programming necesary...just my preference...

thanks adam, jeff and others for the replies.
just looked at a Directwire techsheet, imma use the 457G instead to interface both doorlock and passlock II.
not quite understand about the ign harness on the 457G. the diagram shows for Caddy only. will the passlock II use that pink wire from the silv3erado ign harness too?

That secondary harness is only used for Passkey III vehicles. You will not need it.
