I agree with Stevdart. Make all four subs the same brand / type.
The problem that I had in porting my box (as seen in the pictures is sealed) was that to tune the box to where I wanted it and to avoid high air velocity thru the port (which causes port noise), my port was going to be longer than my box. That does not make it impossible to build because you can put ports on the outside of the box but it might look a little funny. Long story short - I needed more volume which at 32 HZ (my tuning freq) would have decreased my port length but I was restricted by what would fit under the seat. So, I opted for a sealed enclosure and purchased the best sub I could afford that historically performs great in the volume I had.
Oh - FYI - subs come in all shapes and sizes and there are very good reasons as to why one sub may cost more than others. Some subs just perform better in a sealed enclosure and some perform better vented. Purchase a sub not only on RMS but on whether or not is should be in a sealed or vented box. Once you determine your enclosure type purchase the best sub you can afford for your enclosure type. You'll be happier if you do.

alright, thanks guys.  I read before that it wasbad to use 2 different sizes of subs but i didnt realize the same applied for different types...but it makes sense.  I was rereading the specs for the JBL box and although the mainpage says the ported box will work with the 1ft^3 that the recommended box size was actually 1.75ft^3...so i think i'll scrap the vented box for the car and just go with sealed.  I have learned a lot though and the knowledge will definately get put to use, but i dont want to rearange the trunk or anything...i should have planned it out before i started.  Thank u for your time and your knowledge, i really appreciate it.  Sorry about not mentioning that i was going with a 4 sub setup...i really had no idea it would make a difference and thought it might just add to the confusion, rather than add to it.  I'll search for subs for my sealed enclosure based on the information given and match up the airspace in these boxes with the box i already have and get subs that work with that enclosure size.  Thanks again for your time.
