I second that, I would buy that Alpine right now if only I had the money.

I don't, I'll take the new Eclipse CD5425 which retails for $350.00 CDN so it should easily be in your price range and will thoroughly school the Alpine, sorry guys but the Alpine would be my second choice.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

$350 Canadian is under $300 US, it would be in your budget.   I just bought a Alpine CDA-9827 and the unit works great for me, would recommend it if your looking for a budget unit with MP3 capability, cost me $200 from a shop, I assume it can be found a bit cheaper online, it is last year's model.

Yea im going with the Eclipse 5425 for my next HU. It goes for $220 at my local shop, if I could come up with $300 I would probably get the Alpine, but the Eclipse is probably the better deal. The Eclipse is also a more simple to use HU compared to the Alpine.
