I have a Viper 550 alarm/starter combo and i also have a window close/open module hooked up to the alarm so when I arm the alarm it'll put the windows up...

now... when I hold the lock and unlock buttons together the windows go down. the only problem is it only works on 1 remote... the spare remote that I have it won't drop the windows.

does anyone know why? do I need to program that remore?

Does the second remote work at all (in terms of lock/unlock and starting the vehicle)?  Maybe you'll have to reprogram the second to recognize the window mod.

the second remote locks and unlocks the car. i don't know about the auto start as I never tried that. but I know for a fact that the windows won't go down with the second (newer remote that i never used)

I'll check tonight and repost.. but I doube the new remote will remote start the car either.

how do I program that remote then?

well, here's the link for the install manual:  https://www.the12volt.com/downloads/file.asp?ID=266 In the "transmitter receiver learn routine section", I think that's where it tells you how to program the buttons on the remote to the different channels (like whatever channel you have the trunk pop, remote start, or window mod on).

Do you have the remotes on a single button config or default from factory. If you changed one remote, then the same operation will not work on the second remote. It would be a different sequence to activate your windows. Example: The way I set my remotes is in one single button #1 locks, and unlocks the car. The second button would activate channel #2, the third button would activate the remote start, and button four would activate whatever is on that channel. Now if you have it on default from factory then an example would be for remote start you would have to hold down both buttons #1 and #2. As well as 1 being lock and 2 unlock.
