Houston, problemo here, Bazooka amp

Hey i got this bazooka EL1500 amp rigged up temporarily right, cuz i got no brahmas and no need to use my ZRS-9... and suddenly when i turn on the head unit (Nakamichi of course) the subs make a popping noise. At first i'm like wtf man, and i go back and look and see if theres any connection error. Nope, so i grab my remote, open the tailgate, and watch the amp turn on as i turn the head unit on from the back of the car. The protect (RED) light is on and the amp won't even turn on... check ground for good chassis connection. you should be getting remote since the amp is trying to turn on. how many amps are you running? fuse in side of amp good?

2 amps. Fuses are fine. The amp worked fine when i turned the car off. Turned it on, and voila. It no work. The Red light is on though..."I don't play games. I play Nakamichi and that for real yo" - Probably some japanese kid said this in the early 80's trying to sell stereo out of his trunk lol.

Could be a blown sub, check the ohm of the subs with a meterJamie Jackson
