I want a alarm on my Navigator but want to use my factory remote mainly for the power liftgate and read glass release buttons. After doing research it looks like the Hornet 727T is my best bet. The Navigator doesn’t seen to have any other security device but the transponder key(doesn’t blow horn if doors are open without key or remote). My Escalade had this but it was stolen buy breaking the keyhole and disarming the factory system just like using a key. That seems to be the only down fall of a system like the 727T. In studying the navigator it doesn’t seem like there’s a unlock switch on the door keyhole(it doesn’t unlock any other doors or seem to disarm anything). So it seems the 727T would be pretty secure. I would be able to arm/disarm the system by either pressing the remote buttons or using the door keypad and if a only a key(or screwdriver) was used to open the door the alarm would sound.

Sound like I’m on the right track? Is there a switch on the keyhole? Does the 727T sound like a good option in this case? Anyone have the wiring info on the 2003 Navi

Any feedback appreciated.
