I have a 97 base model prelude

it has a factory stock alarm.

i went to change the led, cut both led wires, installed a varad 12V blue led

then thats it, no response from my alarm after that, i tried re-installing my old led, still nothing, i then reprogram my remote, still nothing.

when i unplug the brain and replug it in - i hear the door lock click

my power door locks and everything else still works

my fuse box in the drivers side feet area are all good, fuse box in engine is good

any more fuses in areas i havent checked?

suggestions?

thanks.

When you cut out the LED, did you cut each wire individually or did you cut them both at the same time ?

1) i think i may have cut the wires together.....ooops

2) it is a stock alarm, visions told me the 12V varad led would be fine.

I called honda, and they said the brain supplies the  power, therefore the 12V cannot burn out the alarm (it does not draw/pull by itself)

1) The alarm does not work, nothing happens when i reprogram the remote, the keyless entry nor alarm work now (same button)

The led is on the steering wheel column, i just opened it, and installed the new one, didn't unplug nothing, cut two wires, attach two wires.
