Hay guy's I'm pretty new to this site but I have to say that i consider myself an accomplished installer. But when i heard that you had to pull the dash out of an 05 civic, i though it was crazy, anyways i have to do a HU install this sat and would like to know what im getting into, all the info would be great. thanks and happy installing

isnt it like the previous years? or does it look different? i havent seen an 05 yet. im thinking its the same where you pull the glove box and remove the screws then remove the drivers knee panel thing and remove 2 more screws behind it in order to get that middle panel off and get at the 8mms holding the bottom of the radio, then yank that whole panel off.

The 02's and up are a different style that the previous years.  On those you have to remove the portion of the center console around the shifter and then the panel below the radio bezel.  There are two 8mm screws underneath that hold the entire bezel in.  After removing those screws, the entire bezel, hvac controls and all, is held in with 6-8 clips.  I know this is applicable up through '04s.  Haven't run across an 05 yet, so I can't guarantee that this info is correct.
