I am installing a Fusion f2000 alarm in an 88 Chrystler LeBaron. I tried wiring the alarm, with the use of relays(as shown in this site) and it didn't work. I found a contradiction between the diagram here https://www.the12volt.com/images/5wap.gifand the one here http://members.tripod.com/~alarmtek/NEW5WIRE4.gif . I haven't had any experience with this type of door lock. Is it a 5 Wire Alternating 12 Volts Positive Door Lock, or maybe Reverse Polarity Problems -- posted image.Actuators / Reverse Polarity https://www.the12volt.com/images/actuatorrevpol.gif . There is a factory switch though. I really feel bad about this install, and I can't walk away. Guy at a local shop told me he would take care of it for $25, but I would rather learn for next time. Is my mistake wiring it from the kick panel and not in the door? Please walk me through this as much as possible. Orange wire/lock, Pink wire/unlock. Negative output from alarm, right?
Thanks in advance to all who take the time.

Go through the door and the systen you have is a Type C ( 5 wire positive system ):

Wire up two relays like it shows here :  http://members.tripod.com/~alarmtek/NEW5WIRE4.gif  at the door by the switch and run two wires from the relays ( pin 86 ) to the Fusion lock/unlock wires through the door jam boot.

OK. Thanks a lot Jeff. I didn't realize the slight difference between the12volt's diagram and that Alarmtek one until I really paid attention. I was attempting the12volts set-up with no luck at all. I will try this as soon as I can get with the car's owner. Just starting out, I can't see letting a little door lock problem ruin my rep. I still have a LOT to learn. Waiting on my MECP study guide. Any other lit you would reccomend? Thanks again.

Post your results or questions if you have any about the system. You should do fine with the installation & make sure you are using SPDT 30/40 amp relays with the 5 pins for this application.

Still haven't been able to set up a time to get this done, conflicting work schedules between us. I have got the SPDT 40 amp relays already. Question. Are the relays found in my fuse panel(no clue on pins or anything right now) at all useful for application, or should I just keep used to using what I have? Just was curious. Thanks again, Jeff. I really dont know how many times you have bailed me out now.

The relays required are add on ones that you purchase from a radio shack or a electronics store. You have to access the target wires at the switch ( preferrably so you will know this will work ).
