98 Camry HU Install Problem

Alright a speaker plays if I jsut hook it up to the cd player. So what should I do now?

Also I have a DVOM what should I be looking for?

DVOM is a digital volt ohm meter, and im 99% sure its the internal amp on the cd player. it was my mistake the speaker didnt play.

check each speaker individually both for grounding and resistance.  If one of the speakers is blown or grounded, the alpine will not play on any speakers.  The factory decks have the ability to shut down one channel and play the others, but if you hook up an aftermarket to a blown speaker it will shut off all the channels.  This is the most common problem with an aftermarket HU not playing after an install, especially a basic install like the camry.Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.

What shold I do exactly to check for this?
