Took me about 6 hours to get into primer.
This site has been great and for my first REAL project I think it turned out great. Thanks for all the info.

Thank you!

Looks like I may be making a few more.   Next one I do I will take pics along the way.

One thing I have learned, the more care taken in applying the glass (keeping it smooth and not globed on) the eaiser it is to sand and shape and keep the original shape of the item being molded.

I am now considering having this one made into a mold and have them run out of ABS plastic.

I removed the steering column cover and made a mold of the top of it.  I then cut off the portion I wanted and graphed the pod on to it.

Here is some pics of the textured and painted unit, ready for install.

That SEM paint is good stuff!

96 F250 Powerstroke Diesel.  Already on it!

The gauges were freebies direct from Autometer to use for mock up.  I asked and they sent me 6 broken ones to use.  Great company to work with.

I noticed some minor cracking in the finish coat, not enough to do anything about (I tend to inpect with a magnifine glass), wonder if I put to many coats of the texture finish too fast?

Probably so!  Yeah I thought you were the one with the diesel and all the gauges I couldnt remember though.  What shot you running and why the nitrous, what you need it for just fun, or just for an extra pull sometimes?? And I have to ask how did you make the cup part for the pod???
