I had the viper 791XV alarm installed with the remote start and the additional Tilt and Glass sensors. This is on my 2002 Ford Explorer.

The alarm is going off randomly. its goes off 3 times then stops. a few hours later it goes off 3 times, over and over. PLEASE HELP. I cant sleep and the neighbors are getting nasty. On the LCD remote Trunk flashes when the alarm is going off. i dont have the trunk release hooked up or  trunk sensor i dont know what it could be.  also i dont think the glass and shock sensor work well. i hit the car nothing happens. If i tap on the glass hard with a car key, would the glass sensor triger the alarm?

thanks for any help.

If your tilt trigger is a roller ball or mercury type switch it way need to be adjusted. If it's tilted to much one way it would show a constant trigger, therefore setting off your alarm over and over. Take it back to where you had it installed. It could be something as easy as a bad connection also. Hope this helps.

Its probably the "motion" part of the 507T tilt sensor. It always falses and should just be turned off.

Well its not always going off. Just randomly. like in the middle of the night. I parked in my garage and it still when off. Usually a few minutes after i park it. So it cant be from any outside interference, like traffic.    Also how do i tell if my glass sensor really works?

Chech the installation manual for the glass sensor. Some have a way listed to test it. When the glass breaks in your car is has a frequency of sound that all glass makes when it breaks. You sensor is set up to just detect that exact frequency, not just taping on the glass with a key.
