12 subs for my KX400.1

the comps aren't junk at all. although the VR's are alot more speaker, i've done systems with comps that hit harder than directed studios, which, if no one knows, look like they should be comparable to a Kicker L5 Solo-Baric.

but the Vr's are  the right choice. even though you could push all of the power a KX1200.1 has to them, they will play very lould off of the 400.1 

maybe just get one VR, and spend the extra money you save by upgrading to a kx600.1, and when you save enough to get another sub you'll really be loud.
