Hi,

Well I am kinda of new to the car alarm install, I installed 2 alarms already for myself and my friend asked me to install an alarm on his car. I would like to know what do I need to install this VW Passat 2002 that has a key chip in it? Where car I buy this part and how do I go about installing it. The alarm I am going to be using is the Prestige APS 996a

You are doing an alarm only? No remote start? This is what I am reading, correct? Then you do not have to worry about the RFID pellet in the key..... only need to worry if you are doing remote start.
Doorpins are available in each door....
Ignition is Black or BLACK / YELLOW
Starter will be either RED / black or BLACK/ red
Parking lights are separate left and right...
Doorlocks are negative pulse, in driver's door as well
You have a multimeter? It will become your new best friend as you are doing this car.
