auex, no its not homework. I dont even go to school :p I just started working for a car security company, but I've been installing alarms as a little sidejob in the past. Never once have I dealt with relays and Im just now learning. Your probably saying "Well what if you installed actuators?!" In the past I only installed actuators ONCE, and even then I used a 451M, but now I know how to setup relays for adding actuators but my knowledge stops there on relays. I've tried 1 or 2 relay setups from this website like the "Radio on until door opened" cause I work at a Chevy dealership and since all Chevy cars have that feature, I thought it would be pretty cool to have it in my car. So yeah, I was just curious on what your guys' most creative setups were.

Took you a while to respond. If you want to learn about relays and get some good diagrams then search the forum for bosch book or relay book and download it. It is a very very good resource for installers.

This has been one of the best techinical write ups about relays that I've seen ( in laymans terms ). It is very basic and cover's all the necessary basics for any beginner or intermediate installer to do whatever they want to do with relays. I've used this when I first started and it was a great aset for me in learning the relay configurations:

I only really get to get on the net during the weekends, or late at night if Im not burnt out from work. Not to mention, Im still on a 56k =P I'll do what you said and search for the book. I've even went to the library for the first time in like 10yrs to look for a MECP book of some sort with no luck. I've seen a couple books on Amazon.com, but they were all out too. I seen some cheaper books on eBay, but Im iffy on buying those books, unless someone can confirm that they are good books to read.

Anyways, thanks for the info auex, and Velocity... I'll check both items out. Thanks

I tapped into my AC compressor line so that when I turned on my AC, it would close a relay to my two 530T window rollup modules and my windows would close upon turning on the AC.Your most creative relay diagram? - Page 2 -- posted image.

Dude thats awesome. I have a similar apllication to use a relay with if you could post a diag for that. If only car manufacturors had a suggestion box or something someone would probably make that a stock feature. I cant believe you thought of that. anyways i would Your most creative relay diagram? - Page 2 -- posted image. i used a series of relays and timermodules in conjunction with a remote start module to remotely de-activate a snowmobile that was used in police sting operations one time.
