hi , i have a 96 neon that i just installed a viper 791 xv, everything works great, my only problem is i dont know what to hook the "green starter Input" wire to.This is the wire for the anti grind and starter kill.  The manual says "attach to the key side of the starter wire". Maybe im missing the obvious, but i dont know what to do, right now i have it hooked up the the same wire as the starter and it does nothing, i can still start the car with the alarm on. can someone please help me, and also i just want to know whats the typical range to expect from this unit, if the recieve light on the pager is on but it wont transmit does it mean i can still get pages from the car? all help is appreciated

You need to cut the starter wire in half (use a DMM to test).  Try to start the car.  If the car does not crank then you cut the correct wire.  Then with a DMM test both sides of the cut wire when in "crank" position.  One will measure 12v, one won't...the one measuring 12v is the side you connect "Green starter input" wire.  Your alarm will have a motor side of the starter output wire, connect this wire to the other side opposite of 12v.
