Hi. I would like a diagram of how to remove the door panels in a 1997 Jeep Cherokee. I searched here but could not find any.
Thanks

i have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee that i removed all four doors (and gate trim, complete dash board, all four seats, center console, headliner and carpet) from without the manual.

On the doors there were two small trim color match dime size round plastic circles covering two screws, then a plate inside of the door latch (where your knuckles would be when first grabing the latch to pull it open) which first need to be removed.

Then with a flat head i wedge enough of an opening to get my fingers between the panel and the metal of the door. This way i could feel the resistance as i firmly but carefully pulled the panel away from the door. there were a dozen plastic clips holding it on after the screws.

be sure to carefully disconnect all wiring if any as there is not much length between the panel and door (enough only to get hand/arm in to disconnect)

hope this helps...
