The factory alarm on my '98 mustang cobra just goes off in the middle of the night if I have the doors locked.  And I have actually been watching the car when it spontaneously activates, so I know it's not someone screwing around with me.

I'm not very experienced with installations of alarms in general, but I'd really just like to disable it.  The problem is that I don't even know where the anti-theft module is located.  If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

It should be in the trunk on the driver side rear quarter. Thats where it is at on the 96, if its not there then its under the dash, but i dont think they had RAP modules in fords back then

Thanks for the info on the location.  My second question was also, what do I do to actually disable the alarm.  I would assume that I just can't remove the anti theft module and everything else will work properly.  Or is that all I have to do?  I've got keyless entry and I'd like that to continue working.

Mustang:
Probably could Ground a wire and hook to Dis-arm.
It may be money well spent to have someone fix it.
