I was at my local flea market today with some friends looking for any good car audio stuff. We were at one place that sells all the usual crap; pyle, lanazar, pyramid, american pro etc, when a amp jumped out at me. A old school orion that said 800 on it, it was black and looked to be in pretty good condition. The lady who was running the place said she would let it go for $140, she also said she had just got it back from being repaired. I bet I could get it for around $100. I dont really need a sub amp, but if this is a killer deal i might grab it up. Can anyone tell me anything about this amp?? Also this shop is at a flea market, but they offer a warrenty on their stuff and it is a permantly setup place that has been there for a long time.

I have no experience with that amp but I found this one on ebay. http:///.com/ebaymotors/dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7970080562&category=38638&sspagename=WDVW  There is still 4 days left of the auction and already there are 3 bids so I'd say it's worth something... Maybe someone else can tell you more about it though.

Yeah I saw that on ebay. I always search for older audio equipment on ebay, but that auction doesnt say much, although it seems to say it is a 800W amp, but thats about it.
Anyone else?

I ahve used a pretty large array of orion products in the past 4 or 5 years and have always been very happy with them. I find that power wise they meet or exceed their advertised specs. Main thing when buying a used orion is check to make sure that the power and speaker plugs are there cause they can be kinda expensive and are imparitive to the operation of the amp for obvious reasons.
