If you use a fuse that's too small, it can blow when you try to push the amp near it's limits.

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Would the fact that it plays long drawn out bass decent(but still clips at high volumes), and the fact that it will hardly play a rock bass line that is more up tempo give you guys any ideas.

hmmm....try a new ground. Even if your ground is 0 ohms, it may only be able to run 60 amps through it. That amp is gonna pull WAY more than 60 amps (my MRD-M501 has 60 amp fuse on it!)
also, dissconnect your subs from your amp, and measure the resistance there. if it's less than 2 ohms, you've got your speakers hooked up wrong (although that amp should be able to handle 1.5, but we won't get into that)
also...may be checking the obvious, but is the sub output on your HU turned on?? It's worth a try...

Its impossible to have a 0 ohm resistance in the truck of your car, your ground it either so bad it didn't read it on the meter, or you tested it wrong.

What is the best way to make a good ground connection. The way I have it now is a gold ring terminal with two stingers through the ring and one stinger that goes through the terminal and into the metal trunk floor. Is this ok or do you recommend a differnt route. And thanks for helping me fight trough this guys

ground there sounds ok, i would try and find something like a bolt that is ment for somethign sturdy, so you know it's close to the frame, keep it as short as possible, and a ground will measure 0 ohms through a 22 gauge wire on an ohmeter, you have to relize that this is 0 ohms at .005 amps, step that up times 100 to even 5 amps, and see what you get,, probably a little higher, now think that that amp is pulling atleast 60 -80 amps,,, so ohmeters are really irrelivent in this situation,

try replacing your rca's, or even try pulling another car close and running rca's out of it, to make sure it's in the amp not the cd player... also, make sure your subs aren't out of phase, or that one of the voice coils isn't backwards, you sound like you have done this before, but we all make stupid mistakes sometimes, check the simple stuff, dont' always assume you did everything right, cause you never know
