i just bought a new crx, they say that the stock speaker holes are 5 1/4" for the fronts and 6.5" for the rears, we're talking about a 90' honda crx si here just to let you know. anyways, the car came with a panasonic deck, i changed that one to my other deck that i have. i sold some of my other stuff here i had to get myself some nice mb quart 5 1/4" and 6.5" for the car. as i was taking the grills off, i noticed that there is no way that these things will fit in here. ESPECIALLY in the front, cause when i pulled off that speaker grill, it had 6.5 pioneers inside and attached to them were kind of a basket thing. so now the 5 1/4" wont fit in the fronts, they're too small. the hole was cut to 6.5" and the edges was bent inside to form a 90 degree angle. i tried to bend back those edges to make the hole smaller. still nothing, the 5 1/4" wont fit. i know i have to do some modifying in there, but i just have no money to do it.    as for the 6.5" the quart speakers are too big, so now i have to do some cutting, to make them fit, that isnt as much as a problem as the fronts, so the rears i can do with ease, its just the fronts i have to worry about......is there any tips or tricks to help me out here. i dont wanna buy anything online or go to a stereo shop.     oh and the speakers are, i think, rkc 116 for the 6.5" and rkc 113 for the 5 1/4.

Go to the Honda dealer and buy new stock inserts for the fronts. They have factory bolt holes for both 5 1/4" and 6 1/2" speakers. They should cost about 10 bucks.
