Does RCA's make a big difference? I have basic shielded scoche RCA's. What is the difference from the good to the best? Anyone have experience and opinions of RCA's?

RCAs differ in shielding (amount as well as content), silver content (the more the better), ends of the cable (gold plated, better grip), type of wrap on the cable (twist is best).

RCAs can make or break a system, not the place to skimp some cash.  They are the ones that introduce the most noise into a system.

Actually bad grounds seem to add the most noise into the system.  When I was an installer, we always installed with cheap RCA's and never had a noise issue because we always used solid grounds.  IMO your money will be better spent elsewhere like in better speakers, or sound deadening.
