This is my 3rd Windstar (2003, 2000, 1998) and had no problem with the past 2. I don't want to ignore any possible changes in the 2003 systems so I'm looking for any assistance that may be out there. Haven't had much luck searching the web except Bulldog Security site and the diagrams listed here are for older models. I have identified the ignition harness connections and have the PATS transponder bypass module. After reading some of the posts, I am seeking help with the door locks, park lamps and dome lamp supervision. Do I need diodes, relays? Is the 2003 the same as 1999-2002? Thanks in advance for any help.

Dear Bob,

2003 Windstar.

Lock/Unlock: Blu/Or Lock, Grn/Ylw Unlock, (At the FEM module In A 20 pin white conn. left of brake) Negative trigger. (24ga. wire)

Parking Lights: Blk/Grn NEG. at switch.

Illuminated Entry: Use Yellow wire at dimmer switch, its a negative trigger.

Door (all) Ylw/Blu (at under dash light) May cause false triggering, use a 10K resistor and run the resistor to 12V. constant on one end and the other end along with your alarms negative input, parallel too the vehicles Ylw/Blu.

Thanks for the info Derek!

Questions:

Does this door trigger work if the interior lights are switched off at the dash dome switch?

Is the under dash light a negative door trigger with 12volts constant? If you put 12volts positive to one end of the 10K resistor and a negative comes from the door end, won't that blow the resistor, or maybe I am confused?

Thanks in advance.
