If I go to Lowes, Builderama, Home Depot or one of those type stores, what stuff can I look for that will dampen sound and help eliminate resonations within a fiberglass/mdf kickpanel i am going to build. Inexpensive and comes possibly in a spray can. will underbody spray stuff work?

THANKS

go to your local car shop and get rubberized undercoating    it must be the rubberized kind    this will work well I use it often.....be carful its very messy and you have to apply one coat at a time and clean all your surfaces or it wont come out right

go wo wal-mart and get a can of bed liner spray.  This is a cheeper for of the line-x, Rhino liner stuff and works great.  I use this stuff constantly inside every box that I build to both seal the box and stop resonations.  Plus it is not that messy or greasy like the undercoating is.  You can also spray it up to about a 1/4 inch thick and it wont come off.

the best stuff to use you can order from fishman.  It is a little steep in price but the quality is great.  This stuff is only for fiber glass and wood

does that spray in bed liner harden?  I've used the rubberized undercoating on the floor of one of my cars and the stuff stayed gooey and got all over my wires and stuff.

you have to follow the directions on the can,    one layer at a time.    if you do mor then that it ill be sticky for a good week,       you should only do a light pass over the whole trunk/cab of car and let it dry for 20 mins then do it again till it is as think as you want,     i have 1/2 an inch in my car,    it took about 10 coats     so about 4 hours total
