Any help anyone can offer me on this one would be much appreciated. I have installed a Compustar SS on an 02 acura TL type S. The customer wanted window and sunroof open/close. The windows and alarm work fine. I used a 529T on the sunroof, which opens fine, but when it closes it keeps going and vents. The instructions on the 529T say to use a DEI 452 with a relay hooked up to the limit switch. This works, however, there is a slight delay until the relay activates, and the sunroof still goes up a hair. This probably wouldn't be too much of a problem, but if you arm the vehicle when the sunroof is closed, it vents about an inch. There is a wire on the switch before the relay that closes the sunroof, but this only works when the ignition is on. I have considered running constant power to the relays, and using this switch wire, but the relays are very hard to get to under the dash, and rewiring the car doesn't seem like a good idea to me.  Any suggestions?

What I ended up doing was running a ground to the switch itself. I rewired power to the sunroof so it has constant power, and not just ignition power, so now the switch works all the time. To close the sunroof, I just ran a timed negative output to the close wire on the sunroof switch, and the factory limit switches protect the motor. The compustar I used had programmable timed outputs which I set for 4 or 5 seconds, if your alarm doesn't, you can use a DEI 528T timer relay to lengthen your output pulse.  It also closes the sunroof from vent or moonroof position, just like the switch does (the 529 going to the motor wouldn't).  I don't remember the wire colors, and I don't have access to the car, but the close wire was right on the sunroof switch, and the power wire went to the relays. I just cut it and ran in it to constant power with a new fuse.
