Has anyone tried to install a cruise on a 2002 Chysler?  I had a Sebring in my shop, and it wouldn't cruise any other way than installing a magnet for an alternate VSS source.  Rostra said that Chrysler changed the pulse rate on all their vehicles to 78,000 ppm, and their aftermarket cruise modules won't support it.  Supposedly around mid-december a converter will be released, and after that the modules will be produced to support the new pulse rating, but currently there's nothing that can be done.  Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, are there any other ways around it than the magnet as an alternate VSS source?

You pretty much need the pulse converter or use magnets as you did.

Just buy the Factory Chrysler cruises.  They are easy to install and there cheaper then the Rostra.

chrysler doesn't have one available for them yet either. i have been waiting on the adapter from rostra for a couple of months. i spoke with them last week and they said it should be out at the end of the next week. they said there was even a part number for it so it should be soon.

SCS/Frigette has Cruise Controls that are capable of 128,000 pulse.

So the Chryslers of 2002-2003 are of no new concern.

The entire Electric servo cruise including handle is only $179.99
