Hi, I desperately need help.  Just hooked up a Hitech ht455 to the 2000 honda accord LX yesterday.  The main purpose is for keyless entry, so I didnt hook up all the wire.  These are the wires that I connected: chassic ground, constant 12v, hazard llights, unlock, lock (doors), siren, positive door switch and over ride switch, LED.  I skipped all the rest of the wire, as well as the shock sensor.  The keyless entry and flashing lights works fine.  These are my 3 problems:

1.  I tried to change the default setting (door open warning..etc) by pressing the override switch (according to the cheap manual), but nothing happened.  No matter what I pressed, nothing happened and I couldnt change the setting. What have I done wrong?

2.  My connection was minimum, and I tried not to disturb any wires...Now, the SRS light was turn on all the time and would not turn off, even when I disconnect the alarm, the light still on.  My friend has a hand held computer hooked up to the car and it said:  srs wire was short on driver side.  But the inspection didnt show anything interfere with the srs wire....how can I turn this off, of reset this...thank a bunch for this major problem...

3.  lastly, the remote has 4 buttons: open\close, trunk open, option1, option2...but the instruction for programming keep mention "press #1, #2"...so which button should I press? the manual was so bad, I can barely understand...anywhere I can download a more complete manual.  Thank you

since I didnt connect the other ignition wires (for starter, killer), would it be the cause for not being able to do the programming (programming has something to do with turn on/off ignition key)??!  please any idea? anybody?

sorry, Im not the profession here, first time ever install an alarm..trial and error, do and learn at the same time.  I saw what you meant...my bad :).  It was a NEGATIVE door switch (BLACK/ white on car, green on alarm), and the parking brake (RED / black on car, white on alarm(call hazard according to manual)....still not be able to reprograme the alarm.  To clarify, I only installed the siren, LED, and over ride switch in order to reprograme (as requires?), other wise, I only need the keyless entry :)

Okay, I know this topic is old, and you might have found it already, but for any others that might want this info on this alarm system, to program, you put it in Valet mode, like instructions, and then turn off the key and push the override button 4 times. Then push the Arm/Disarm button and the Option 2 button together, this puts it into program mode. Then from there, Button 1 becomes the trunk button, and button 2 is the option 1 button.
I found this out by playing with it a lil. Hopefully it will help somebody in the future

THAT IT!!  I can confirm that the instruction from Fallenimomortal works!!

You are truly our hero :).  I've been searching all over the net, and this forum as well, frantically emailed almost all the members in this message, and the tech as well...for the instruction.  And if you look around, quite a fews people with this alarm have this problem.  I even drove for more than an hour, trying to contact the people who solved me this alarm...and they just as clueless as me, nothing would work.  And at 1:30am, after reading your instruction, I tried that on my car...and miraculously, it just worked perfect :).  Without your invention, Im not sure how we would figure this out, cuz the stupid manual has a totally different instruction ?!

Thank again....
