I have a old pioneer deh1000 that keeps blowing the fuse on the back of the deck whenever I plug the wiring harness into the back. Does anybody know why?

sounds like you got some crossed wires. if it still has the factory harness then just color code the aftermarket harness to it. if the stock harness has been cut then you need some help fron the wireing diagrams on this site. need more info for more help please.

as soon as you plug it in? sounds like a wiring problem for the most part, check and make sure your remote wire is not grounded out, that will blow the fuse really quick,, and if all else fails, it might be the deck,
