i just did a basic keyless on a base model '05 taurus and it has the usual symptoms of a sleeping BCM or the Slamlock system on the newer ford trucks. If if sits for awhile the keyless dont work..i also noticed if you lock door using the lock button on the door and then shut the door after 2 minutes the unlock button wont work(ive read that this means its the slamlock system) ive been told you can tag the keysense wire with the unlock wire using a diode and i did that with no results.and i also did not find a disarm wire in the boot(which makes sense since i didnt find a factoty alarm present)..any ideas anyone? thanks in advance

maybe pulse one of the door latchs/pins with unlock, not sure of polarity.  set door unlock to double pulse.

Try pulsing the door trigger wire ( The LF door trigger is yellow/black in pin 5 at the GEM ) and this will fool the car into thinking that a door was open. Pulse this wire along with the unlock wire and diode isolate each wire.

UPDATE: i set the keyless to double unlock pulse and noticed that if you power up the ignition it wakes up whatever need to be woken up..so i took a relay and used it to trigger the ignition(triggers ignition on the 1st pulse and the Unlock on the second) and that worked or so i thought..the customer just called me and said his "AIRBAG" light is on.not sure if thats because of the quick ignition pulse? anyway..ive installed a dozen or so keyless and/or remote starts on '03+ taurus/sable in the past 6 months and have never had a problem.any suggestions? lemme know.thanks guys

The GEM on the Tauraus' are in the base of the center console to the right of the accelorator pedal. There will be 3 plugs that will have all the connections for keyless, OEM alarm, trunk, door trigger's etc.....

Look for a plug on the BCM near the front bottom where the driver puts their feet. There should be 3 plugs in a row not sure which one offhand, but it should have some or all of the following colors: pink/green, pink / YELLOW, tan/light green, purple / YELLOW, pink/white, yellow/black. It will have your lock/unlock/trunk/OEM hood pin (if equipped)/OEM Alarm Disarm (if equipped)/and driver door latch.
You want to branch your negative unlock wire, put 2 diodes inline, and hit the pink/green unlock wire, and the yellow/black drivers door latch wire. You will need to set the unit to double pulse unlock as well.

Yeah that big mess in the drivers underdash area. The plug your looking for will be more on the bottom of it. It's very accessible and easy to unplug pretty much right in your face, so if your killing yourself trying to get it your looking in the wrong place. Like I said look in those plugs for the normal lock/unlock wires and the yellow/black wire will be in the same plug. If not, it's coming in from the drivers door boot.
