I am going to install a 5 channel amp along with my radio.  Is there a benefit to running the power and ground wires of the radio to the power distribution block thus connecting the amp and radio together?

I generally will ground the deck fairly close to the deck but I always run a saftey ground to the back so If I have an engine noise problem I have the wire there for trouble shooting.
