791xv problem

im not sure whats wrong.. whenever i arm or disarm.. the remote is not getting no commands.. all it show is the unlock symbol.  when press the arm/disarm button.. the send and receive signal shows but after it flashes signal icon of the comnad page is not received.. i was told it was the remote.. after getting a new remote today .. it is still the same for the new remote.. anyone know whats the problem? any idea if i miss a wire or two install that will effect the pager?  pls help.. i dont want to waste anymore money.. just spend 80 bucks for a new remote and nothing is fixed.. 791xv problem - Last Post -- posted image.

If its a new remote did you program it correctly? How did you program?

You might have a bad antenna.  The 791's have a chip in the antenna that goes bad

i went to a local audio shop that sells viper alarm..i ask if test out my alarm to see if it was a antenna.. i ask if they can just try to plug in one of responder atenna for one quick second.. but they were being a ass about it.. i was hoping to get a little help..

i'm always a little amazed at the guys who come into our shop in a situation like this... they dont buy anything from you, they dont want to pay you to install it, but as soon as they run into a problem they want you to cannibalize your stock to help them track down their own self-install problems on product they probably bought on E-bay.... and they have the audacity to get insulted when you are not interested.......

sorry, thats just my rant for May.....

BTW, my young jedi, you may want to unplug your antenna and leave it for about 20 minutes to clear the logic circuit.... it is an active device and may reset itself after this..... just a thought.....
