I know this doesn't belong on the12volt, but I have a car with some serious problems that 3 shops, an Oldsmobile dealership, and about $650 couldn't figure out, so I need to know if anyone here also knows of a good Auto Repair Forum that I can go to to get some possible suggestions

Any help would be greatly appreciated

what kind of problem are you having? and assuming its a oldmsobile General Olds forum they might be able to help you out as well as Smaller but seem like good people Check these guys out, maybe they have something they can help you out with, the first site seems to have a ton of threads regarding the aurora model. I know a little bit about GM stuff and would be glad to help you in any way I can. If you dont feel comfortable posting here feel free to PM me. It would be good to know what kind of engine you have, model of car as well as the year. I dont know a ton but more than most and I would be more than happy to help you in any way I can.

Thanks for the links.

The issue seems really cut and dry, but it has myself and my girlfriend's dad completely puzzled ( he is master cert. in Jaguar, Ford & Mazda, and just plain old knows a lot about cars, has been working on cars for over 20 years)

Anyway the issue is a strong wobble when making left turns while accelerating, but only while accelerating... sure it sounds like the CV Joint/ Half Shaft, but that has been inspected by 3 shops and there is no clicking or popping noise nor is there any play in the axle.

I was originally told after having the half shaft taken out and pressed back in place that is was probabally the motor mounts so we replaced the inner/outter/upper/lower moter mounts, still no change.  The next place tried to sell me new tires, (they blamed the wobble on cupping in the rear tires) so just to test their theory I rotated my tires, still the same problem.  So we put the front end of the car on rollers to see if we can spot the wobble, and when the car accelerates to about 40 the wobble was there even without any pressure on any particular side (much like a left turn will shift the weight of the car). so there is no way it is the tires, the rear struts or the motor mounts; every thing points to the CV Joints/Half Shafts except for the fact of 1) previously mentioned, no noise, clicking or popping, 2)this is the strange part: some days there is no wobble, while others there is, it seems like on cold days it does not wobble while on hot days or after the car has driven for a while it starts to wobble, but the maximum wobble is always the same, it never gets worse.  The one thing that I can't remeber if it has been inspected was the inboard plunge joint

The car is a 94 cutlass supreme with a 3.1L V6 (FWD)

zezebiah if you know anything else that this may be please let me know; I would greatly appreciate any help, because this is getting frustating and expensive.

Hopefully no one will get upset with me for posting this on the 12 volt because after all it does not belong here, but as I have found out, if you like installing stereos in cars, you usually tend to pick up a lot of other mechanical skills along the way.

If the half shaft checks good, I'd look elsewhere in the front end.  Is there any slack in the steering?  Check the wheel bearings and tie rod ends.  Also check your rubber bushings for wear.

You said the tires were replaced.  Did you/ do you have any unusual tread wear problems.  How's the tire pressure?  Are the wheels steel?  Perhaps one is out of round.  Are they all balanced properly?  Try that and rotate the tires to see if anything changes.

One more thing- so obvious I almost forgot.  Have you checked the alignment itself?  Has the car been in an accident, or have you performed any related mods/ had work done (i.e. lowering springs, etc.)?
