2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I need some help on this 02 JGC.

I recently installed an add-on alarm to upgrade factory keyless. My only problem is that the dome light triggers the alarm before the doors unlock! The modual is IEI's4018/ Autoloc .Now looking at the outputs and inputs , I tried to wire the (-) output like a start kill set up on the courtesy light thruogh a relay.....following me ok......now becuase the (-) output disarms at the same istant that dome light comes on ,I figured that I could hook up my (-) trigger wire at this connection(hence disarming the alarm)

Is there any way that I can delay (-) trigger wire.05 sec.through a series of relays and cap's,resistors...etc

Good luck............allthough why would the alarm allow it to do this......it could be junk?

Try hooking direct to the doorpin wires and not the domelight wire, this should cure your problem..with any luck...
