I though some people migh want to know the truth behind the kenetik batterys/cap killers.
Here is my first response, They ROCK!!!!
We are running a kicker kx1200.1 and a diamond audio d5 600.4
While cranked this system has a current draw very very close to 200 amps
The vehicle we are using is a 1998 honda civic ex, with the factory 80 amp alternator (put in for testing)
all the big 3 have been upgraded, and the battery we are using is the HC1800   it is a very very large battery (10x6.5x8.8) The battery tray did require some modifications but nothing that you couldnt do with out a hammer and some time.
Now down to the testing, we dropped in in, let it charge for about a minute and we were reading 14.4 volts at the amp distro block
Did some basic music songs, and the voltage never dropped below 12.8 volts
Did some test tones and also checked at our local USACI show while running and while doing a 5 second burp voltage never dropped below 12.2 volts
Now before this battery was installed, with the factory battery we were having alot of troble getting the Kicker amp to stay on, it would shut off because voltage was dropping below 10.5 volts.
The Kenetik is now the only battery in the vehicle and it in the factory locatation under the hood.
The last test performed was a sitting test, vehicle off with the system at 28 out of 40 on the head unit, we left it to play for 2 1/2 hours   when we came back we were amazed, 12.8 volts still!
I will stand behind these batterys 100%, I have tested yellow tops and many other gel cell/deep cycle batterys and none of them compared to this in a stand alone application.
If anyone is wondering the lights have little to no dimming now, they were about to shut off before the amp would cut out when the factory battery was in. Now it is so minor you dont even notice it unless you sit and try to catch them dimming.
The price tag is steep, you will be looking at around $200-$300 for the HC1800   but they do offer smaller sizes for people who arnt running huge amounts of current
If anyone has any other questions I will get right back with you on this post.
