I'm going to be installing a jl 500/1 in my 2002 chevy blazer and want to mount it in a place where it is hidden from view and isn't mounted to the back of a sub box or back of a seat etc. There isn't much room under any of the seats in the truck or that would be my first choice . Just wondering what other people have come up with.

I have my amp (Phoenix Gold X600.1, about 18" long) mounted under the rear seats. I've also had it right behind the rear seats and never once had a problem.
Oh, BTW, I have a '96 Blazer.

how much clearence do you have between the amp and the seat . i tried to fit my amp under the seat and there isn't enough room with the seat folded up. I thought maybe under the front seats but there's air ducts in the floor there so i doubt that's a good idea.
