I've had my 791xv installed into my '88 Mitsu Starion for quite some time now and am very happy with it.
I've lately been curious about setting up the illuminated entry option, but am curious if it would work on my car.
My car from the factory came with a dome light that when set to the door activated option, and when the door is closed the dome light will stay on for 2 seconds then slowely fade out over a time period of about 3 to 5 seconds.
I know alot of local shops when installing these alarms on my car will just tie the door triggers to the dome light, but I installed the alarm myself and tied the door triggers to the doors them selves.
Any input and suggestions are welcome,
Thanks.

Take the BLACK/ white coming out of the main harness of the alarm to pin 86 of a relay. Pin 85 to a fused 12V source. Pin 30 to your dome light wire. Pin 87 to fused 12V or ground as is appropriate for your dome lights (I can't find anything on this for sure, but I'd guess ground-- test the wire w/ a multi-meter first!)
