Hi guys, I am looking for one of those adapter harnesses, you know where it plugs into the factory audio plug, and you plug that into your aftermarket HU.... Ok the hard part, does anyone know if they are made for Big Trucks, Kenworth's to be exact...

thanks guys, The Saint

Never seen one for a Big Rig.  We have done a half dozen trucks at our store and we just test all the wires and hard wire it.

Typically the radio that is installed into big trucks is hard wired into the truck via a quick disconnect harness.

Remove the radio and look back on the harness and you should see the plug.  Just disconnect it and cut the radio harness off and then re-use it for the new radio.

thanks for the replies. I have installed tons of HU's that way, and prefer to hardwire it, but it is going in a friend of mines rig, and he doesn't own it, and therefore isn't allowed to cut any wire at all. after searching for a few hours I came up with nothing as well...

actually a lot of the Peterbilts and Kenworths i have done have used the GM import harness... same one used on the Sprints and Fireflys...... also, some of the newer ones with the Delco weatherband radios use the VW harness......
