I didn't pay close enough attention to see that he was using the foam as a mold. I was just going off a statement he had said. Saying that he used foam so the trunk wouldn't rattle. I wan't trying to be a p***k, only wanted to help.
Slowly but surely working towards something. Not sure what though.

No it's all good, I thought that you were trying to suggest using dynamat as a mold...I read later that he did say something about his trunk rattling.

It cost me about $20 so far.  I was the foam to the fiberglass would not rattle against the box and the trunk moldings.  And it was much easier to create the shape that I wanted.  The box is bolted down, and I do not have anything back there, except the air tank, air compressor, and air release valves.  My trunk itself doe snot rattle, just the fiberglass.  I had made a box a while ago, but it cracked.  I did not use enough glass.  This one is going to be about 5-7 layers.  I already got 2 layers in there now.

Before you glass it....well if you havent already you might want to put somethign over the foam so that the heat from the curing fiberglass doesnt melt or deforem the foam....just a thought.....Chris

Go to alpine's websight and look at there new BMW. They use an MDF skeleton to make the shape. Maybe use something like that if your foam base does not work out. Just a sugestion. Good luck and keep us posted.
