Hi.  I'm new to the forum with a big question.  I'm planning to buy an alarm with remote start.  I have an 04 Mits Outlander that has a key chip.  If the car is started without the key, engine will not start.  I found a site that sells transponder bypass kits for cars with factory anti-theft  http://autoalarmpro.com/mitsubishi.  Is this necessary or is there another way to install the remote start?

There isn't any short cut I can tell you. With the transponder bypass kits that would be the correct way to do it. I don't know of any other. If you do let me know.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.remote start install, key chip -- posted image.

thanks for the site.  I printed out the wire codes and I'm sure this would save me hours of probing the wires.  I guess I really do have to buy the bypass kit.  I was looking at the manual of the kit and it seems confusing.  I think I should buy them first.   this is the alarm I wanted to buy.
