my little project so far with pics

I decided to make a little project in my new car. Its a 00 bmw 5. Because sometimes i need the full space in trunk (for shopping )i decided to go for a removable sub/amp enclosure. When removed, only the amp stays in the trunk. The pics tell you what i'am meaning. Let start with the pics. The trunkwooferring mounted Adding a support for the amp Sculpted with foam the sides for a perfect match with the contours of the trunk Stretched fleece This is how it is supposed to be with the amp in place Glassing the whole thing Applied bondo with a brush. Thinning bondo with some acetone and hardener is much more easier to apply. Hope you like and give yr comments (also negative) Next step is sanding. I will post more pics later.

They were made for easy access inside the box to apply a few layers of FG mats. When its finished i will close the back with mdf and resin.

looks like polyester primer in the last pic.

      i was just curious on the sub ring i see that you have another ring going around it i guess to make the sub sit flush.Ê iÊ was wondering what you used to make this I cuted out a ribbon in a sheet of plastic and stappled it to the mdf ring. looks like polyester primer in the last pic. I thinned bondo with resin and acetone and added some hardener. This was almost liquid and can easily be applied with a brush.

thank you for the compliments. About the mdf disc, look at the last picture, you 'll see ! I didn't resin on the mdf disc. It was relatively easy to take out the disc.

Ok those last two pictures were red Xs when i looked at this earlier. But i still dont see how it didn't bond a little, but i'll take your word for it. How much resin did you use for all that? also how is that huge amp gonna mount to that tiny square?blah blah blah blah
