Does anyone have a good distributor, manufactuer, or part number for a latch relay and do they make one rated at 30amps??

1st momentary +12vdc pulse the relay will latch to NO, and stay latched

2nd momentary +12vdc pulse the relay will latch back to NC, and stay latched

Both pulses need to go into the 86 pole. like the one in the picture on the latching relay diagram

To Clarify:

I have searched the previous posts with no luck  and seen all the diagrams for making a Bosch relay in to a latching relay.  I guess a better question is where can I buy a premade latching relay???   I have spoken to the tech support at Mouser electronics with no avail.   I need a part number.. Any Help is appreciated?? Tx

Wow, I actually found a spelling error here, "PCB lacthing relay ".
I just use the bosch relays if I need a latching relay, which isn't very often.
At anyrate I don't feel like going through all the google results so Here

hi,

this may work:

http://www.mouser.com/catalog/622/1197.pdf

http://relays.tycoelectronics.com/datasheets/S8990_DS.pdf

parallel the contacts to get the current rating you desire.

may work depending upon the load you are switching

Potter & Brumfield #S89R5ABC1 . . . Contacts 15 Amps 125/250 VAC resistive load. For each input pulse to coil, a latching toggle mechanism flips the position of a microswitch's wiper arm to low, high etc.

Here is a Better one.

hi,

you may also want to check out 70's/80's vintage VW's.  the headlight dimmer relay is of the latching type.  you'd need to convert the input/trigger of that relay from negative to positive though....i.e. additional small SPST relay.  not sure the VPRD/S Series Relay recommended above will work, different coil requirement than you specified.

OKAY Here is what I came up with .

It was a complicated little circuit to figure out.

It uses 3 Standard 5 pin relays.

Here is the same circuit using a push button.
