Just wondering if anyone has installed an Alpine SEC-150R or aftermarket alarm on a 99.5 VW GTI (New Body Style)?  Anything to look out for?  Any tips you may have?

Thanks!

Notes:NOTE: This vehicle has an immobilizer system that needs to be bypassed when adding remote start. *1 The drivers door module is located in the drivers door. *2 A double pulse will unlock all doors and disarm the factory alarm. *3 The passengers door module is located in the passengers door. *4 This wire will read the dome light delay. The avoid the dome light delay, use the separate door trigger wires and diode isolate each one. They are BROWN / white and are all located in their own door at their own door module. *5 The comfort module is the main control module located under the drivers side of the dash. *6 The 4 cylinder tach wire is green with a stripe. The 6 cylinder tach is either purple with a stripe, or black with a stripe. *7 The windows can be rolled up and the sunroof closed by extending the door lock pulse. DEI recommends that you only use a validity channel to roll up the windows.

Thanks Jeff!

One question, is it possible to use the EXT3 output to roll up the windows?  The output is (-) 200mA, continous or 1 sec. output.  How would I make it stop after the windows are finished closing?

The output of the alarm is fine but you would have to wait by the car and hold the button on the remote(continous mode) until the windows rolled up.  I have done pre 99 vw gti's, 2000 jettas and all i have done was  hook up a "pulse timer relay" to the door lock wire to "extend"  the  pulse.
