On determining the switch side and motor side of the door lock/unlock wire, I understand that a mutimeter is necessary.  Can someone please provide a link or explain how to determine which side it which?  If the wire shows power when the switch is pressed, does that mean it is the motor side (considering the wire has been cut in half to install a relay)?  Or is it vise-a-versa?  Do I touch the positive lead on the multimeter to the wire and the negative to a ground?  Please Help!

Usually, when U cut the proper Lock / Unlock wires in half, U will have one side that will show voltage << ( + ) or ( - ) depending on vehicle >> when U press Door Switch.  That usually is the Switch side.  The other side will be motor.

also, you only need to physically cut a wire if you have a reverse polarity ( 5 wire ) doorlock system..... + or - you can just meter the wire to determine polarity.....
