I'm thinking of adding cruise control to my '87 S-10, 2.8 V-6, 5-speed. Should I go with an aftermarket unit, or dig through the junk yard for a factory unit?

Thanks!

Well the factory cruise will always work better but I think you will have a hard time finding good used parts for that year.   Your probably better off to go with a rostra system.  You can actually use a factory lever with the rostra system as well.

The ABSOLUTE Finest in aftermarket Cruise controls are the SCS/Frigette

Vacuum unit including the correct handle is only $129.99

The all Electric servo cruise including the correct handle is only $179.99

Either works well, we install Vacuum 95% of the time.
