Can anyone tell me what color the third ignition wire is and where it is located on a 2002 chevy 2500HD silverado?  Is it neccesary to hook this when installing remote start?

Thanks,

Ryan

I think it is brown, and should be in the ignition harness, and yes it is neccesary to hook it up. Did you hook up the orange ignition wire also?

Player 69 is correct.  There is no need to power the brown wire.
