A few days ago I was trying to put sunvisor t.v.'s in my car and I wasn't payin attention to what I was doing and I accidently stripped my power wire for my head unit while the unit was playing.  There was a spark and then my head unit stopped playing.  I tried unhooking it and then rehooking it and it still didn't work.  I bought a new head unit and the new still isn't working and neither is my ciggarette lighter.  It's just like nothing is getting any power.  So if anyone has any idea what the problem might be please let me know.  I would really appreciate the help.

You more than likely have blown a fuse protecting the circuit. Check all fuses in the car and under the hood, especially the radio and dome light circuits.

Disconnect the battery and check for continuity from the positive wire in your dash to the positive battery terminal, if you get nothing, run a new wire. If you get something... Well... sell it and buy another?

Fuse most likely. I know nothing about Hondas, but I know there are 2 separate fuse panels in some American cars, so dig around.

You popped a fuse - pull each and every one if you must, but I garuntee that you blew a fuse.  Also be sure to check underhood.  Many imports have a main fuse underhood that backs up your fuse panel.

He could have melted the wire. Not likely, but possible.

There's a fuse under the hood that is the main power fuse for the radio in honda's. It's back on the passenger side near the fire wall. It should be a 7.5 amp fuse.

If the wire you were tieing into was WHITE/ blue then this is the solution.
